A goal by Jakob SIlverberg in the 2nd period , along with 41 saves from Stolarz, kept the Anaheim Ducks in the game well into the 3rd period. The Anaheim Ducks had plenty of opportunities on powerplays to even out the score, but failed to do so against the Wild defense. The Anaheim Ducks will need to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities, along with taking pressure off Stolarz, in order for them to have a chance at victory against the Minnesota Wild

Analysis: During the first game against Anaheim, the Minnesota Wild won narrowly in a late 3rd period goal by Marcus Foligno that gave them a 2 to 1 victory. While solid playing from Talbot and Fiala certainty helped, the Wild will need to limit rebound opportunities and continue to remain tough on powerplay kills. The Minnesota Wild certainly come in as favorites however, as they have one of the most high-powered offenses in the NHL to start the season. Ultimately, it is still incredibly early in the season, and both teams will be hungry for a win.
